Schneiders Altivar Soft Starter ATS480 is a controller with 6 thyristors using the same torque control system (TCS) from ATS48, to control acceleration, deceleration, and stopping of three-phase squirrel cage asynchronous motors of up to 900 kW.

The ATS480 has been designed to digitalise the entire life cycle for asynchronous motors. Powered digitally by EcoStruxure, ATS480 increases efficiency from selection to maintenance. Inheriting the best attributes from the robust ATS48 including the TCS, and the ruggedness of its starting capabilities, even in the most demanding applications. The simplicity of setting a few parameters that are displayed in plain text and you are ready to go and maintaining asset monitoring with the internal electronic thermal relay.
